Women In the Church (WIC) is the ministry of and to women of Grace Coastal Church. The women grow and serve our Lord and Christ together, sharing life's experiences and relying on God's grace.
All the women of the church with our diverse backgrounds, varied gifts and goals make up WIC. No one has to be an "active" member of WIC. It doesn't matter. As a women you are a part of WIC. We encourage all our women to be involved with this unique ministry and opportunity.
Often new community members feel isolated and alone. It is not easy to rebuild relationships in our world today. WIC provides the opportunity to build friendships. It is an avenue to share your story. It is a way to become part of the body. WIC desires to serve every woman associated with Grace Coastal Church. That's the very point. Each woman being served and each woman serving another.
Each year a new counsil is chosen to provide leadership and promote communication throughout the church. The 2010 council members are:

The WIC Council is pleased to announce our theme verse for 2010 from Psalm 73:26 "God is the strength of my heart". Please join with us as we come together as women of the congregation of Grace Coastal Church. Our desire is to build new relationshiops and nurture those that we already have. We would love to spend time with each and every one of you. Please check our bulletin board inthe hallway of the sanctuary building for the most current information on events.
Secret Sisters
This is a fun way to encourage a fellow sister in Christ at Grace Coastal Church. The 2009/2010 program concludes with a Secret Sister "Reveal" during our WIC summer event on June 12, 2010. Showers
Please check our bulletin board, the Sunday church bulletins and your email for announcements of baby and bridal showers through out the year. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to show our love and support for our sisters in Christ who are first time moms and new brides.
Family Promise
WIC assists by providing some breakfast and lunch items each day and by doing the daily laundering of bedding materials. These are relatively simple tasks, and a wonderful way for us to reach out and serve others. We only host families four times a year for one week at a time. Contact us at

GIRLS NITE OUT
Consider joining the ladies in Beaufort on the first Tuesday night of the month for a fun time together. Contact Ainsley Huddy at 982-0877 for details.
SPRING/SUMMER
BIBLE STUDIES
Our Spring Study, Beth Moore's "Breaking Free," led by Stephany Muth, will conclude on June 3, 2010. Due to the renovation and construction of our church buildings, we are unable to offer a summer study this year.
SOCIAL EVENTS
Spring Social Event - Show Us Who You Are
We had a wonderful time on Saturday, April 17, 2010. Twenty one ladies met at the home of Sally Stinson for lunch and a time to share their talents and to let us know a little bit more about them. Every Sunday we are surrounded by some very talented painters, photographers, seamstresses, cross stitchers, knitters, jewelry makers, collectors, scrapbookers, dancers/choreographers, candy makers, business women, crafters and mothers/grandmothers/great-grandmothers. Thank you to all of the ladies who shared a piece of themselves.
Summer Social Event - An Afternoon Tea
Mark your calendars now for Saturday, June 12, 2010, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. The WIC Council invites you to put on your prettiest sundress and hat and join us for an afternoon tea! We will be taking reservatins for this fun event, so please watch the WIC bulletin board, the church bulletin and your email for more details. We will have special speakers, special music, games and prizes, as well as our inaugrural Secret Sister "Reveal." Childcare is provided (reservation is necessary and required). Contact us at

SOCIAL EVENTS
RETREAT
Our Spring Retreat has been moved to the Fall. Due to our tough economic times, this year's retreat will not be an overnight event at a retreat center. Instead, we plan to spend Saturday, October 16 in our new church facility with our speaker Jenny Morgan. We will provide more details as we get closer to the date. Mark your calendar now! We may also get together on Friday night, October 15, so hold that spot open as well!
ANNUAL MEETING:
We had a fabulous time at our dinner meeting on January 26, 2010. Here's what some of the ladies had to say the next day:
