Grace Coastal Church is priviledged to serve and minister to Alzheimer's residents at The Carolina House Assisted Living Center in Bluffton. There are not many "glory" stories as patients slowly move into the later stages of this debilitating disease. Truly this ministry is a blessing to those who serve the patients.
The team, led by Larry and Meredith Decker as well as Dick and Sylvia Watt, serve every 2nd and 4th Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. The 45 minute hymn sing and sermonette provide a time of worship for the patients. They are so appreciative and seem to enjoy sing along. It is truly amazing to watch patients suddenly remember the classic hymns of their time.
